There are over two million mobile apps available in the app stores. Letting users find your app is a big issue for app publishers.  If you are dealing with a mobile app, than it is important to know and understand the different methods to market your mobile app. The most important thing is the app store optimization (ASO) which is overlooked mostly.
This process optimizes mobile apps and ranks them higher in the store’s search results. An app is ranked high if easily visible to potential customers. The more visibility allows more traffic to your app page which results in it being downloaded.
ASO helps you understand the customer and what he is looking for. These include keywords the customers are using to search the apps. You learn about keywords which are important to make marketing plans.
Any app is searched and then downloaded. If you as a publisher and do not use ASO then you are missing something out. ASO is the secret weapon which the publishers are missing.
The keyword in the title which should be the most searched. Changing the title maybe detrimental and using different keywords helps rank it higher resulting in more reviews and news about the app.

Keywords help improve the search rank and relevant words are used to target the audience. It is a good exercise to monitor competitors. With ASO the keywords and title can be modified regularly.

There are many factors which are involved like number of downloads, ratings and reviews, apps with keywords rank better than those without keywords by over 10.3%.  Easy keywords are found in less than 25 apps, while medium keywords are found in 25 to 100 apps and competitive keywords are found in 100 plus apps.
